Drinking water wells for GhanaLiving conditions in Ghana still lag behind this progress in many places, even though economic successes have been recorded in recent years. In rural regions, people hardly benefit from them. There, only 66 per cent of the population have access to drinking water. With our project “Drinking water wells for Ghana”, we are giving 5 communities a sustainable water supply by building manual pumps in rural regions.

Help for the people of Ghana
Our drinking water well project in Ghana gave 5 communities a sustainable water supply by building hand pumps. This improved the sanitation and hygiene situation as well as the supply of drinking water. In the project communities we promote an understanding of the links between hygiene, sanitation and disease prevention. Around 10,000 people can now benefit from the new water supply.
