Information on consumer rights
The European Commission provides the option of online dispute resolution on an online platform operated by it. The platform offers consumers and businesses an additional point of contact for the out-of-court and voluntary resolution of disputes arising from online contracts. Consumers may apply for dispute resolution proceedings through the Energy Arbitration Board. A prerequisite is that the supplier’s customer service has been contacted beforehand and that no mutually satisfactory solution could be reached. The supplier is obliged to participate in the arbitration procedure.
