Support for the treatment of homeless peopleWith the support of the physician Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Trabert, the “Mainz model of health care for homeless people” ensures that medical, nursing and social work assistance can be provided during medical consultations in facilities for the homeless and in accommodation for refugees. The need for medical help was and remains great. There are now around 2,500 to 3,000 treatments for approximately 600 patients per year.

Mobile clinic

With the “Arztmobil”, a clinic on wheels, homeless people are also visited on the street – true to the motto “If the patient does not come to the doctor, the doctor must go to the patient.”
